In recent days, we've received many questions from travelers with flight plans for Thanksgiving week and the following days. To answer these questions, we'd like to inform you that SJU Airport is operating during regular hours.
As we published before, for your safety and that of the entire airport community, we continue to implement our disinfection protocols, which have been accredited by the Airports Council International (ACI). Since the global emergency began, we have been pioneers in establishing prevention programs and protocols before many other jurisdictions did so and in some cases, we have been the only ones to implement certain measures. Our primary responsibility and commitment is to our employees and partners, as well as the travelers, both local and those who visit us. The airport is the entrance and exit of our island. For this reason, we have not skimped on investing in a comprehensive health and safety plan that addresses all areas.
Reminder for travelers
If you are traveling to Puerto Rico, it is important that you remember to meet the requirements established by the Government:
Provide evidence of a negative molecular test result for COVID-19 performed 72 hours before your trip.
Fill the Traveler's Declaration Form before traveling.
Use a mask to cover your nose and mouth at all times.
If, on the other hand, you are traveling from Puerto Rico to other destinations, we invite you to check what are the health requirements established there. You can find that information on the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) website. As recently published in several media outlets, CDC rose to level 4 most of the destinations around the world.
It is very important to us that both passengers and staff working at SJU Airport as well as the entire airport community are ok. That's why we continue to be focused on providing an ideal environment for you to travel safely.
